The main objective of the IPA pre-accession program is to help to candidate countries and potential candidate countries in their coordination and implementation of the legal acquests and to prepare for the implementation of Structural Funds. IPA program replaces the previous programs (CARDS, ISPA, SAPARD, PHARE) that Croatia has participated in since 2007. Throughout the seven-year duration of the program (2007-2013) the estimated funding is 11,468 billion euros. Croatia will participate in this program in order to become a member in the European Union. For the coordination of the IPA in the Republic of Croatia, the Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of EU Funds (CODEF -http://www.strategija.hr) are assigned, and for the overall financial management, the Ministry of Finance for the Republic of Croatia is assigned.
